Yo, ho, ho, and a bottle of rum! Ahoy there me hearties! I was out of the ship for a few days, as I spent some time off with some landlubber friends. It’s been a while since I spent a week-long adventure on land. Although I also missed sea-life, I must admit I also had a lot of fun on land, especially since we explored freely with the camper vans of me friends. We had a total of three campers as there were a number of us who went on the road trip. We saw gorgeous views like lakes, oceans, mountains, trees, flowers, and wildlife. Our kitchens were stuck, as we always filled them whenever we had the chance. So, we had no problems when it comes to food, which is something important for me as ye already know. We also camped in the wilderness, we started a campfire, and grilled some mallows. It was a superb experience, and I would definitely do it again. This is a free sandbox game, so you are free to explore the environment. The map is huge, so you will explore various places, from cities to mountains. It’s fun because you are not restricted on things you can do. It’s interactive, as you can interact with the things and people you find in the game. It’s also not just about driving because it’s a simulator of living in a camper van. It uses real physics when you drive, and the controls work well. Moreover, you also need to mind your hunger, health, and even the van’s fuel, so it’s close to the real thing.
There are tasks you can do
Although it’s a sandbox game, there are still tasks that you can complete, like taking jobs to earn more. It’s up to you if you want to take them, although it’s also nice to take them as it gives an objective or goal in the game. Moreover, it could be something you will do in real life, as you’ll need to earn to keep going, so it’s part of a good simulation.
Customization features not yet available
As of this writing, you cannot customize your van yet. However, as per the download page of the game, this feature is coming soon, so they are working on it. This is exciting because it makes the experience more real and deeper, as you’ll get to design your van, like putting your bed.
It’s laggy
Unfortunately, there’s an issue with the performance as it can be laggy at times. So, moving around can be difficult at some moment due to the game being slow. It would be much better to play if this side of the game improves too.
