Ahoy there me lads and lasses! We went to a cat cafe when we docked to replenish the ship with things that we need. Not only did they serve delicious coffee, but we also had a great time playing with the cats. They had so many cute cats of different breeds. I used to own cats when I was a little lad, so that made me remember and miss them. But I’m glad that I still have my parrot pet, and although I can’t keep a cat as a pet while sailing, this pet simulator lets me do it online. Batten down the hatches as I tell you more about the game called Oliver the Virtual Cat by Frojo Apps in this app review.

It has average graphics

The artwork isn’t that bad, but it’s also not impressive. It’s on the average level, which is still good since there are plenty of things to see. You can customize your pet, which is a feature that makes it more fun, since you can decide on its look. There are various areas around the house that you can also decorate, making it even more enjoyable.

It’s free but it doesn’t have a tutorial

Oliver the Virtual Cat App

You can download and play this game for free. Although there are in-app purchases available, you will not feel forced to get them to keep playing. However, it doesn’t have a guide or tutorial on how to play it, so you need to explore it and find your way around. But if you have played pet simulation games before, it has the same basic concept, so it will be easier to get the hang of it.

There are plenty of mini games

Another exciting thing about this app is that there are over 50 mini games as of this writing that you can play. You will not easily get bored because of the variety of options. Some of them are basketball, a frog crossing the road, and fruit slicing mini games. Some of the mini games are easy, while others are more challenging, so you have choices, depending on your mood or the game difficulty you want.

You can play with other players real time

It’s social as it lets you play with other players in real time. You can hang out in your house or at the house of your friend’s pet. This gives a more positive vibe because you are not playing alone. Instead, you can share the experience with your friends, which can also be a bonding moment for you.

The good

It’s free and it has plenty of mini games that have varying difficulties. You can play with other players in real time. You will not feel forced to pay for an in-app purchase.

The bad

There is no tutorial or guide on how to play it. The graphics are average.

The verdict

We recommend Oliver the Virtual Cat to those who are looking for a pet simulator game, especially with a cat as a pet. It’s free to download and you can keep playing without spending real money. Although it has average graphics, it’s highly detailed and there’s so much to see as there are different areas to explore inside and outside the house. There are also several types of mini games that you’ll enjoy playing.
