Avast ye scallywags! This old pirate is so happy right now. The whole crew celebrated by drinking rum and dancing all night long as our booty hunting was a success. We found loads of booties and gold! There were these other bilge-sucking seadogs from another ship that tried to rob us with our booties. We sent them all to Davy Jones’ locker. Aye, that was another reason for celebration. While me and me fellow buckos were partying, there were a couple of songs that they played that I liked but didn’t know the lyrics. Now, this app that I found came handy. It’s called Musixmatch and I will share more of it with ye lads and lasses in this review.
More Than Just a Lyrics App
Musixmatch was mainly designed to show the lyrics of various songs. It has a wide selection of songs in its database so you’re more likely to find the lyrics that you’re searching; for the new ones at least. There are classic songs, but most of the lyrics are for the latest music. The lyrics would play on your mobile screen so you can sing along. It supports some of the most popular music players, but it also comes with a built-in player, which is convenient as you don’t have to launch another app to play your favorite music. The lyrics window can be moved and resized, which is convenient in case you wish to see part of the screen for some reason. Another additional feature, which is pretty cool, is that it lets you create an image quote from the lyrics and share it immediately with various social media sites like Instagram and Twitter.
Straightforward User Interface
The app has a sleek and easy to understand user interface. Upon launching the tool, you will be presented with the four main options: Settings, Favorites, MusicID and My Music; that come with basic, yet easy to tap icons as they are big in size. Navigating the app is not too difficult, even if you’re not technically savvy. Any type of user would be familiar with it in no time.

One of the reasons why this app receives two thumbs up is because of its huge database of lyrics. You’re more likely to find the lyrics that you’re looking for, especially for the newer songs. It’s also easy to navigate and use. The added feature of creating and sharing an image quote is also pretty cool. Another good thing about it is its built-in media player making it more convenient to play songs and find their lyrics at the same time.

The free version comes with advertisements. You must purchase the premium version in order to eliminate the ads. Not all of the lyrics are perfect, although you can help editing the errors that you found.
The Verdict
Musixmatch is an app that music lovers would find interesting as it comes with a built-in player and it makes it easier to learn the lyrics of various songs. Although it comes with minor drawbacks, it still is something that’s worth downloading.
