Yo, ho, ho, and a bottle of rum! Ahoy there me lads and lasses! It’s me again, your favorite app pirate ready to go on another booty hunting journey around the seven seas! The last adventure that we had was an interesting one. We did not just face the usual obstacles that we face when looking for treasures like dangerous terrains and wild animals, but we faced scary zombies! Aye, it was the first time we experienced that. We didn’t know they were real until our last booty hunting. But thanks to our teamwork and skills, we successfully evaded them. We found the treasure and we also got back to the ship unharmed. If you hearties are interested in fighting zombies too, you came to the right place as I’m about to share this game called Bloody Harry: Zombie Shooting by FDG Entertainment GmbH & Co.KG. Listen up and let me tell you more about it.

It’s free but leveling up can get slow quickly

Bloody Harry Zombie Shooting Review

You can download and play the game for free, although it comes with optional in-app purchases. Even if you don’t make an in-app purchase you can keep playing without spending anything. The levels themselves are fast-paced. However, since it gets harder quickly, leveling up can be slow as you may find yourself having to replay a level multiple times before you successfully complete it. If you’re up for a real challenge, then this would be a green flag for you. But if you are looking for a chill game that is not too difficult, you might get frustrated when you reach the said levels. This can also make the game feel repetitive as you need to keep playing the levels again.

It’s addictive

Although the levels get more challenging real fast, the game is still addictive as you find yourself wanting to clear the levels and defeat the enemies. There are also missions that will challenge you to complete them. Moreover, there’s a leaderboard where you can climb the ladder and be the best among all the players in the game. This motivates you to play more and do better.

There are various weapons to upgrade

There are different weapons available from guns to knives, and you can upgrade them for more damage along the way. You also get to unlock more weapons as you reach higher levels. What’s even better is that you can switch between using the guns and the handheld weapons during the game and you also get to collect bullets dropped by the enemies.

It has cute artwork

The game has cartoon artwork that is adorable. The zombies are not drawn as the usual people that turned zombies, but they are vegetables that turned zombies. So, even if you see there’s blood because of the fight, it still doesn’t look so gory because of the cute characters. There are also boss fights, but the variety of bosses is limited, so you will only see the same characters over and over again even if you reach higher levels.

The controls can be glitchy at times

There’s a control on the left to move the direction of your character and the controls on the right for handheld weapons like knives and to fire the guns. Although these controls work well most  of the time, there are also times that the app glitches and they become glitchy, causing trouble for your character.

The good

It’s free and it’s enjoyable, making it addictive. It has adorable artwork and there are various weapons to unlock and upgrade. The levels are also fast-paced and there’s a leaderboard, boss fights and missions to keep you motivated to do better.

The bad

The levels get too difficult fast, so you may find yourself replaying them several times. The controls also glitch at times.

The verdict

We recommend Bloody Harry: Zombie Shooting to those who are looking for a casual fast-paced zombie shooting game. Although it involves zombies and killings, it doesn’t feel gory because of the cute artwork. It’s free and there are several fast-paced levels that also get challenging fast. You can upgrade different weapons and use them alternately. There are also missions, leaderboard and boss fights.
