Ahoy, matey! It’s me again, your friendly app pirate. Most landlubbers think that dry beans and cackle fruit are the only things that we eat on the ship. That ain’t true! These buckos enjoy eating just as much as landlubbers do. Ye may not know it, but I am actually a good cook. Aye! This buccaneer is not only good in treasure hunting, but I’m also good in cooking. That’s the reason why this new cooking game app got me interest. See if it’s something that ye lads would consider playing on your mobile phone in this Cooking Fever review.

It’s the Ultimate Cooking Experience

Cooking Fever Review

It’s one of the best cooking experiences that you could try (at least in your mobile). As you may already guess with the title, it’s a cooking game where your time management skills would be tested. There are several similar games like this like Hotdog Bush and Diner Dash. However, what makes it better is that there are hundreds of ingredients and dishes to prepare. Your eyes will feast on the beautifully created items in the game. Graphics is excellent. The game has vibrant colors and it’s generally good in the eyes.

The app doesn’t just let you test your time management skills, but your designing talent as well. You get to decorate your own place, which is somewhat a reminder of the Facebook game, Restaurant City. Then again, there are different diners and restaurants that you can manage so you are not just limited to one place. Music adds up to the game’s fun. It’s not too loud and not too boring either. There are also different sound effects played on various events like when a level is completed or when you get the money paid by the customer.

It Would Keep You Occupied

Cooking Fever App

This is a highly addictive game. There are not just several ingredients and dishes to unlock, but various upgrades as well, including chairs, tables, locations and kitchen appliances. There are also several levels to complete in one stage, each level giving you a maximum of 3 stars. Even if you have already completed one level, you would still feel the need to repeat that level if you didn’t get all 3 stars. The good news is that you can always go back to the levels that you already unlocked, if you want to get a better score or get all the stars. Other cooking apps could make you feel that the game gets repetitive after a short while; but not this one. Since there are loads of content to unlock and new more coming for the updates, this is something that you would be playing for a long time.

What We Like

One of the best things about this game is that it has lots to offer when it comes to the content. There are several levels, locations and dishes to unlock, so you would feel that there’s always something new to discover. It can also be challenging, especially when unlocking higher levels that require more coins to become available.

What We Don’t Like

The only drawback that we see about this game is that it’s difficult to get free gems. These gems are needed to unlock other upgrades; so unless you have them, you wouldn’t be able to get those upgrades. They are available for in-app purchase, but if you’re not the type who pays real money for a game, you need to keep on playing and wait for those much needed gems.

The Verdict

Aside from the fact that gems are hard to get, Cooking Fever is generally an amazing game that you would enjoy. You’ll feel challenged to unlock levels and locations, and to make some upgrades. It doesn’t easily get old and it’s free. It’s highly recommended that you download and install this game on your mobile device.
