When I was a little lad, ‘afore sailing and booty hunting became me life, this old salt had pets at home. ‘Tis the reason why I also like playing games that has something to do with pets. Speaking of that, today I’ll share with ye me hearties an app called Dr. Panda and Toto’s Treahouse. See if ye will like it in this review.

An App for Kids and Young at Hearts

Dr. Panda and Toto’s Treahouse Review

If you remember the digital pet Tamagotchi that grew popularity in 1996, this is somewhat like that in a sense that you will be taking care of a virtual pet. Dr. Panda and Toto’s Treahouse was designed for kids 3 to 8 years old but this doesn’t mean that only them could play it. There’s always a kid inside of us after all. There are actually users that are not in the said age range and it’s perfectly fine since it’s really a fun app so there’s no wonder that it attracts even older users.

Excellent Graphics and Animation

Dr. Panda and Toto’s Treahouse App

The application has vibrant colors and the graphics is eye catching. From the moment that the story begins when the panda brings the egg to hatch in the tree house, you will be enticed with the colorful and appealing background. There are four areas in the tree house that were designed beautifully. They also come with various objects that are all really good to look at. For instance, the ice cream maker is cool and the area for making sandwiches has these different ingredients hanging on a rope, secured by clothespin. One of the nicest areas of the house is the bath area. It looks like a water pond with waterfalls and a bucket of water being thrown on it. What makes this app better than other virtual pet games is that it’s animated. Pet Toto reacts on the things that you do so you would see if he’s happy or not.

It’s Something You Will Not Easily Get Tired Of

As mentioned, there are four areas to explore in the tree house; the play area, bath area, bedroom and kitchen. Moreover, there are several options to do on those areas. This means that users can explore a lot of things taking a long time before they would find themselves tired of playing the game. Plus, once you get attached to Toto as your pet, it would be difficult not to take care of him even when you feel that you already explored all the areas and options in the tree house.

Pros

– fun graphics that are pleasing to the eyes

– animation that makes you feel like Toto is a real pet

– more areas and options to explore

– a great way to teach kids how to take care of pets and become responsible

Cons

– this app is paid

– you can’t rename the pet to make it more personalize

The Verdict

You may need to spend a small amount of money to get this application. However, if you have a child whom you would like to keep occupied and learn how to be responsible of taking care of a pet in a fun way, it’s worth the money that you will spend. There are also no advertisements and in-app purchases. That being said, I recommend that you add Dr. Panda and Toto’s Treahouse on your list of apps.
