Ahoy there me hearties! Yer friendly app pirate is back from another booty hunting adventure. After getting all those coins and treasures, me and the crew would drink rum and eat all night. Aye, this bucko loves foods! Speaking of foods, let me share with ye me lads and lasses an app that has something to do with it. It’s called Food Quiz and I will tell ye more about it in this review.

Nice Graphics

Food Quiz Review

The graphics itself is already fun. You’ll be presented with different food items and your goal is to name their brands names. These food items range from chocolate candies to beverages. Their packaging is eye catching. Although they are not real pictures of the products, the drawings look a lot like them so if you really know the item, you wouldn’t have difficulties naming them. Some items have their complete name removed, while others still have some of their letters. If you get the correct answer, the name of the brand will be shown not just in the puzzle, but on the image of the product too. There are some images that still contain the name of product, so you consider them as bonus.

No Background Music

Food Quiz App

It doesn’t have background music, but it has sound effect when you move to the next image or when you get the correct answer. This is one of those games that don’t really need background music, so it’s just right that it doesn’t have one since it could distract your concentration.

Simple Yet Challenging

Food Quiz has a very basic gameplay. Think of the Logo Quiz game. It’s a lot similar to this one. You need to tell the name of the image by tapping on the scrambled letters. The only difference is that instead of the logos of different, this app specifically revolves around food items only. It’s challenging in a sense that even if you know the item, it can sometimes be difficult to guess when its name is removed from the packaging. You can move to the next image though if you really can’t get the answer or you could use hints.

The Good

One of the good things about this app is that it’s free. You don’t have to spend anything to start playing. It can also sync with your Facebook account so you can continue playing in your computer if you wish to. The images are colorful and eye catching and it also comes with over 200 images that would keep you occupied for some time. More images are being added so you can expect more content to play in the future.

The Bad

When you run out of hints and you can’t really figure out the image, you need to ask your friends to send you hints or wait for another day to get the 10 free hints for playing. If you can’t wait for that, you may end up making an in-app purchase. This may not really be a huge problem if you’re not the type who gets carried away spending money on a game or you don’t mind spending at all.

The Verdict

The drawback that this game has is not really that big. It’s definitely a fun game to play as it challenges you to remember the food brands that you may have already seen before. That being said, it’s recommended that you give Food Quiz a try.
