MP3 Chopper Review

On December 5, 2012

Arrggghhh! Thar goes me phone again, ringin’ to the tune of wimpy little Justin Beiber again. I be tellin’ me daughter to change me ringtone fer the longest time now. Arrrggghhh! I call on Calypso to smite me phone. This ol’ stinkin’ pirate needs some kind of ringtone editor app. I hope that this new one called MP3 Chopper does right by me or I be sinkin’ this phone all the way down to Davy Jones’ locker.

Choppin’ MP3s

Whenever a new app comes out, I am always so excited. Whether it be a simple zombie-killing game or a highly complicated niche application, my curiosity is almost always piqued to test and try. Today, I am glad to present to you a simple but highly touted app, the MP3 Chopper. And just by the name of it, chopping MP3s down to size is what it does exactly.

Kidding aside, though, MP3 Chopper is a basic ringtone editor. It allows a user to edit or rather shorten or loop, and convert existing MP3 tunes into actual ringtones, SMS alert tones, social media notifications, and even alarm tones. Looking to wow the crowd with a Lady Gaga tone? Or perhaps, you want to soften your SMS alerts and Facebook notifications with a little whiff of Lee Ritenour’s smooth and silky vibe? Or maybe, you want the Darth Vader thump from Star Wars to play whenever your old ball and chain gives you a call? Whatever is the case, MP3 Chopper has definitely got the right tools to make it so.

Not Only MP3s

MP3 Chopper is a very easy app to master. Just select an MP3, the contact on your phone, and the app literally does the rest for you. And if you want maximum customization, get a load of the wallpaper assignments it lets you tinker with along with your chosen ringtone and contact. What does this mean? Well, once the specific contact calls, you will not only hear the ringtone you chose playing, but it will also display the photo or image you chose for the background.

In addition to that nifty feature, MP3 Chopper supports other audio files other than the standard MP3 file extensions. Currently, the app supports WAV, MP4, AAC, and even AMR files. According to certain sources within the company behind the app, Red Fox Media, they even plan to support FLAC and FLV file extensions in the near future.

It’s Free and Easy

MP3 Chopper is not a very unique app. In fact, most smartphones today actually have some of its touted features embedded into the very essence of their smartphones. However, once you get to use MP3 Chopper, you will find it to be supremely easy to use, easier than what other apps (be it native or third-party) can provide. With MP3 Chopper, you can become a ringtone editing expert in mere minutes of your first use.

And if that doesn’t have you sold on the app, this will – it’s free. Aye, for both iOS and Android devices, MP3 Chopper is absolutely free to download and use.
