On May 2, 2013

Aaaarrghh!! Can ye believe this Letter of Marque telling all these landlubbers that they be able to attack me?! How dare they cross the App Pirate! I will show them the bottom of the sea if it be the last thing I ever do! Ye can bet yer last grog on that, lad! It be a good thing I have this PressReader app, it be telling me what is happening on the shores.

Be it not for this app and the news in it, me ship wouldn’t last a day not knowing where the attacks be coming from! Allow me to give ye a tad more detail about it on this here poop deck o’ mine.

The PressReader App

This is an app that will give you the next best thing to reading an actual newspaper or a magazine. In fact, the experience could even be better since it does not cause clutter or drain the environment’s resources. You will have access to thousands of publications from all over the world, available in a single app for your device.

PressReader Review

PressReader contains digital replicas of print media from 97 countries and they are as crisp and clear as the real thing. Regardless of wherever you are, you can gain access to your local newspaper as well as magazines from another country. This app is a great addition to your collection if you are the type who loves to read a lot.

Features

The best feature of PressReader is the fact that it contains thousands of publications from nearly a hundred countries, right at the tip of your fingers. When you open the app, the first thing you will see is the selection of countries you can choose from. Upon picking where you want to get your publications from, you will have the option to choose what newspaper or magazine you would like to read. Everything is pretty much laid out for you already. All you need to do is choose and tap the screen.

PressReader App

Another feature available is you will also be able to “hear” the news by tapping the headphone icon on the screen. Even if the voice is somewhat robotic, it beats tiring your eyes from reading fine print. You can just sit back, relax and listen to the stories. When you download media from the app, you would need to pay per download, which usually costs $.99 each. However, if you do love to read a lot, you might want to subscribe to the app’s monthly program, which allows you to read all the publications you want in it for only $29.95.

Verdict

This is a great app to own especially if you like to read the news and other publications as well. While you might not necessarily need to have every newspaper from different parts of the globe, you can still gain access to them regardless. Finally, even if the app is free to download, you still need to pay for what you download or get a subscription. For a small fee, you can take the news with you wherever you are in the world.
