Yo,ho, ho, and a bottle of rum! Ahoy there me mateys! Yer friendly app pirate is here again to share with ye another dose of app review. Like many of ye buckos, this old salt was also addicted in endless runners. There had been loads of options like Temple Run and Subway Surfers. It’s been a while since this buccaneer played an app like this, so I decided to share with ye another app that is somewhat like the ones mentioned. So batten the hatches me hearties and let’s begin with the review.

It’s Like an Endless Runner with a Twist

Rope Escape App

When you first play Rope Escape, it will remind you immediately of the game Temple Run if you choose the world that is set in Amazon. The other world is set in an alien place, although the gameplay is the same. The backstory of the game is that the main character stole a precious gem, which is why he is being chased by the keepers. Even the backstory is similar to Temple Run. This could probably be the inspiration behind this app. What’s different is that instead of just running and jumping, you will be moving from one tree to another using a rope.

Average Graphics

Rope Escape Game

The graphics as mentioned will remind you immediately of Temple Run. Most of the things you’ll see are trees and ropes. There are also huge coins and other power-ups to collect as you try to go as far as you can. The images are not that bad, but they are also not that attractive. The graphics is not crisp and the colors are not that vibrant.

So So Background Music

There is a background music but it doesn’t really suit the game. It doesn’t take away your focus on the game though since it’s subtle so it’s just good, but it doesn’t really add excitement to the game.

Advertisements Can Be Annoying

This is a free to play app and like other free games, this too comes with advertisements. However, even if some apps have ads, they are not that obtrusive so you can still play without difficulties. With Rope Escape, the advertisements can cover a huge part of the game window so the overall game experience can be affected.

The Ups

It’s familiar since it’s like the popular endless runner games, but it comes with a twist, making it interesting. It’s free so you don’t have to spend any money to download and play it.

The Downs

The advertisements can be really annoying since they take up a huge space of the game window. The graphics and background music are also not that good.

The Verdict

Rope Escape may not have the best graphics or background music, but it has something fresh to offer in the familiar endless runner genre. If you are into this type of game, we recommend that you give this one a try. Just be ready with the advertisements that pop up every second. Nevertheless, you can still enjoy it especially it’s free.
