Arrrr! Ahoy there me lads and lassies! It’s me again, your one and only app pirate, bringing you my latest finds from the seven seas of the app world! Today, I bring yet another game that you buckos may be interested in. It’s called Die in 100 Ways by CanadaDroid. It’s an app where the life of the characters depends on you. Avast ye as we begin the review.

It’s Like Dumb Ways to Die

Die in 100 Ways Review

If you’re familiar with the hit game Dumb Ways to Die that was launched in 2012, it’s very similar to that one. You’ll be asked to do various tasks that you need to complete quickly as you’re on a very limited time. The instructions would be given to you but since you’re under time pressure, you may already run out of time before you figure out how to do the other tasks. Your focus, alertness and quick response would be tested here. There are several mini games but you need to achieve a specific level before you’ll have access to them. Since you’ll be dealing with the same games before you can level up, you’ll get familiar with them in a short time so you’ll immediately know what to do once you see them. You have three lives and your best score will also be shown to you.

Nice Graphics and Sound Effects

Die in 100 Ways App

The graphics would also remind you of Dumb Ways to Die. The color of the cartoons is the same, although instead of monsters, Die in 100 Ways has people as its characters. The expression of the characters is funny when you’re unable to complete a task. The sound effects are also good. You’ll hear something when doing the tasks, as well as when you complete them.

Simple But Addicting

The tasks are actually not complicated to do. Some of them are getting the oxygen tank to prevent the man from drowning, beating the fish, connecting the wire and getting the red book from the cabinet. However, since you’re under time pressure, it could be challenging to complete them. Although it’s a simple app, it can get addicting since you feel that drive to top your score and complete the tasks that you haven’t completed before.

The Good

Die in 100 Ways is simple and fun. The graphics and sounds are good and the tasks are not impossible to do but they would still challenge you. The game is free, although in app purchases are available, which you’re not really required to get.

The Bad

It’s not original so it doesn’t really have something new to offer except that it uses people as characters instead of monsters. Advertisements also pop-up, although it’s usually when checking your achievements.

The Verdict

Die in 100 Ways may not be an original concept as it’s a lot like Dumb Ways to Die. Nevertheless, it’s still a fun app to play. It’s simple to learn the basics, yet difficult to master so you would feel challenged. It’s also free to download so it’s recommended that you give it a try.

Cool review here! I have been playing the game and I can indeed confirm that things do get slightly repetitive over time. I actually stopped playing it within 2 weeks or less and that’s mainly because I wasn’t finding it fun anymore! I do hope that more content is added soon to boost thing up. Keep posting!
