Avast ye me lads and lasses. This buccaneer is about to sail on our good old Jolly Roger. But ‘afore we do that, let me give you another dose of app review that I’m sure ye all would be interested in. I know ye buckos are familiar with those survive as long as you can games, aye? Temple Run, Despicable and Subway Surfers are just some of them and I know ye lads have played the all; just like I did! Har, har, har! The app that I will share with ye today also falls under this genre, although it also offers something different. This game is called Down the Mountain and we’ll talk more about this in this review. Call all the buccaneers and landlubbers and let’s begin.

Gorgeous Graphics

Down the Mountain App

Down the Mountain has a cute and adorable graphics. It’s vibrant and it’s refreshing in the eyes. At first, you would be reminded of the game Minecraft because the mountain and the characters are made from blocks. The green and brown colors would also remind you of the same game. However, this is where their similarities stop because unlike Minecraft that looks pixelized, this game has clean and solid graphics. There are currently 90 characters to unlock that are all charming. The mountain in the game has the sky and clouds as its backdrop, which changes in color. This is a welcome feature as a slight change on the color of the background, could do a lot, especially in this type of game that has the same setting.

Fun Background Music and Sound Effects

The background music of the game is also fun, which adds to the positive experience. The game is fast paced and the upbeat music makes it more exciting. There are also sound effects that are played when you get power ups or stars. The music and sound are just right. They wouldn’t distract you, which might be the case in other games.

It’s Addictive

Down the Mountain Game

Down the Mountain Review has several characters and 300 missions to unlock. The gameplay is simple, the missions, which also serve as the levels, would tell you what you need to achieve. For instance, you may need to get a specific number of stars or reach a certain score. The game would still continue until you die even if you already achieved the specific mission. Unlike other games that are usually moving forward or upward, this one moves downwards as it’s all about moving down the mountain. Although it has a simple gameplay, the obstacles make it challenging. You’ll find yourself wanting to play a mission over and over until you complete it.

Thumbs Up

Down the Mountain has gorgeous graphics and fun background music and sounds. There are hundreds of missions to complete and characters to unlock that would want you to keep playing for more. It’s free to download and it’s available for both iOS and Android users.

Thumbs Down

The only drawback that we could think of is that it comes with advertisements. You need to make an in-app purchase in order to remove the ads.

The Verdict

Down the Mountain is a fun app to play. It’s easy, yet challenging keeping you playing for hours. Although it comes with ads, just like what free games usually come, it’s still recommended that you download and install this app.

If ads are the only drawback that you came-across within this game, I will gladly get it on my iPhone right now! I really enjoy blocky style titles and this one is looking like it’s going to be a pretty fun experience. 300 missions for free is an absolute deal! Thanks for the post and keep it up!
