Yo ho ho! Ye lads and lasses may be wondering why this old salt is happy. Aside from having loads of booties, I was also able to play a new app that I love. Remember the Dumb Ways to Die app that I shared with ye hearties ‘afore? It now has a sequel called Dumb Ways to Die 2: The Games. Batten down the hatches and prepare to play the game if ye don’t want to end up at Davy Jones’ Locker.

Simple to Play Yet Gets Challenging

Dumb Ways to Die 2 Review

If you’ve played Dumb Ways to Die before, this one would be familiar as you still need to complete what’s being asked for the mini game before you can move to the next. There are just different scenarios for the sequel and they are grouped into different categories. It has an Olympic theme and you still have three lives to use before the game ends. Some of the games are played on land, water and ice. While you would be given an instruction on what to do on a specific scenario, it could be difficult to complete some of them at first since you are also under time pressure. It gets easier to do them after a few tries as you are already familiar with what needs to be done. However, it then gets challenging as the game speed becomes faster and faster until you eventually die. While you’ll end up spending all your lives no matter what, the goal would be to get the highest score as possible.

Winner Graphics and Sound

Dumb Ways to Die 2 App

The characters and background are still cartoonish as the first Dumb Ways to Die app. Graphics is still as cute as ever. With the addition of the map where the different categories can be seen, it just made it more visually appealing. The background music is upbeat, but not too loud, which is just right for the game. The sound effects, like when something explodes, made the game more exciting.

The Pros

What’s good about this game is that it wasn’t just made to be played for fun, but it has an important reminder that it wants to impart to the players. That is to be safe around trains and to practice safety in general. At times, basic safety is forgotten and it could cost lives. It’s also a good time waster as it would keep you occupied for some time. The game is also available for free so you don’t have to spend anything to start playing.

The Cons

It has advertisements, which can be removed through in-app purchase. You would also need tokens to play Dumbest of the Dumb, which involves all mini games in all categories. You get two free tokens a day and would need to purchase in case you run out and you wish to play more on Dumbest of the Dumb.

The Verdic

While there are advertisements in the app, it’s not that you will be extremely distracted by them. You can also continue playing without having to make an in-app purchase if you don’t want to. That being said, it’s recommended that you download Dumb Ways to Die 2: The Games on your device. It’s free and it would keep you occupied, especially when boredom strikes.

The 1st game was absolutely delirious and I will not be surprised by what this one might possibly have in reserve! Dumb Ways to Die 2: The Games sounds like real competition this time and the advertising will certainly not spoil the fun as much as it seems!
