This be Jelly Splash and I swear on me mother’s grave, it be one of the funnest things I ever did since me an’ me crew threw some landlubbers off the plank a moon ago! Listen here, bucko! Jelly Splash is one of the latest puzzle games to come out for the iOS and it seems to be quite a step up from some of the “newer” puzzle titles we’ve seen lying around. First of all, it is a sort of a match three game. Meaning, you will need to pair certain objects of the same color in order to remove them from the screen and gain points. Since this is called Jelly Splash, you can expect the objects to be jelly-like, which is a given.

Objective

The goal of the game is to pair jellies of the same color, gain points, and move onto the next level. There are over 100 stages in Jelly Splash and each time you move up, the next level gets more challenging to complete. However, pairing the jellies into threes is not the entire objective.

To gain higher points, you can actually line them up according to the same color and get higher combination scores. The longer the line is, the higher the more points you will have, and more points equals better progress in the game.

Features and Great Things About the Game

One of the great things about this game is that it is very easy to get started and it is pretty much laid out for you even during the beginning. Then, unlike other puzzle games, you won’t be pressed for time with Jelly Splash. You will be given all the time in the world to think of your next move, as there is no time limit whatsoever.

If you are having difficulty with certain levels, you can even use boosters to help you get through them! And, if you want to brag about your recent high score online, this game can be synched to your Facebook account so all your achievements can be posted immediately.

The Downside

Jelly Splash is free to download and play, so you won’t have to spend a dime for it, however, you might be forced to as you advance in the game. Like Candy Crush, this game will require you to either pay for them or connect to Facebook in order to get these add-ons.

Extra lives and additional moves cannot be earned while you play the game. It’s either you buy these items from the in-app store or ask for them from your Facebook connections. It can get irritating from time to time but you can always disable the in-app purchase option from within the game

All in all, this is a very fun game to play which takes on a new approach to puzzle titles. It is free to download and definitely worth it to play. So if you’re looking for an awesome time-waster and an entertaining app, Jelly Splash is a game you definitely should not miss out on.
