Yo, ho, ho, and a bottle of rum! Ahoy there me lads and lasses! Yer favorite app pirate is here again for another adventure. We’re on our way to our next destination for our booty hunting journey. We had a few days vacation where we met some of our friends, and we were on time as they were in the process of building a few stores for their new businesses. We were able to help out, although we wished we were there until the opening. Sadly, we had to leave because of our tight schedule. As ye know, these pirates need to go find some treasures. Har, har, har! But we will definitely go back and support their businesses. This old salt is also interested in managing stores, but for now, I do it on games like the one we have for app review. Batten down the hatches as I tell ye more about this app called Hello Town: Merge & Story by Springcomes.

The artwork is hands down cute

Hello Town Merge & Story Review

The images that you will see are adorable. It’s refreshing and relaxing, so even if you are not playing, just looking at the artwork will already make you feel good. The game starts with an old building you need to develop with various stores. Even with its supposed to be worn out state, it’s still an eye-candy, but much more when you start to see progress as you move forward with the game. You can unlock various stores that offer different products, so expect to see many different items. You’ll also meet different characters along the way, and they have conversations, which unfold a story, so you get to know them and it feels like really being part of the community.

It’s free and you can play it offline

Hello Town Merge & Story App

You can download this game for free. Although in-app purchases are available, you can keep playing without spending real money if that’s what you prefer, especially since it offers various rewards that you can use to progress. Of course, it may take slower than buying the needed items, but still, if it’s just a game to pass time, you can do without spending anything. It’s fun, although some of the levels can be tough, so you might find yourself repeating them or watching several advertisements to earn what you need to progress. It’s also available offline.

It’s a mix of merge and decorating game

Although it says the word merge in its title, the game is not just all about that. It also has a decorating part to it. So, if you are into both genres, this is a game to check out. However, the items can take up the screen at some point as you cannot remove them once there. It can also take time to memorize what needs to be merged to produce a specific item. Moreover, although it’s also a decorating game, there’s really not an option on the designs as you just click on the coins to pay for the decor and the design will just show. There’s a national and international ranking, so it’s also competitive in some way.

The ups

It has extremely cute artwork and it’s a fun game. It’s free and it’s also available offline. There are various stores to unlock and characters to meet. It’s competitive as it has national and international ranking.

The downs

There are levels that can be tough and you don’t really have options on what decors to use in the stores.

The verdict

We recommend Hello Town: Merge & Story, especially to those who love cute artwork in games. You will fall in love with the adorable images from start to finish, ranging from the stores to the characters. It’s free, fun, and you can even play it offline.
