Yo, ho, ho, and a bottle of rum! Ahoy there me lads and lasses! We visited some of our landlubber friends and one of them owned a burger shop. Not only did we try his mouthwatering burgers, but we also helped in running the shop for the day. I’ve always wanted to experience this and glad I finally had the chance to flip burgers and serve them to customers. It was tiring as it was a busy day at the shop, but it was definitely worth it. I will never forget that moment. But since we’re back on the ship and sailing to our next stop for our treasure hunt, I still enjoy that experience with this cooking game that I’m currently playing, and I will share it with you today. It’s called Hungry Hours by OneChain Technology.

It has a relaxing vibe and adorable graphics

Hungry Hours Review

The initial restaurant decoration has a classic look giving a relaxing and nostalgic vibe. Even the sound effects are also calming like the sizzle when grilling and frying. There’s also the sound it makes when you receive an order or payment, and the bell sound when delivering the customers’ order, which make the experience somewhat more realistic. You can decorate the restaurant too, which gives you options on the theme or look that you prefer. The images including the characters and ingredients have a smooth and clean look making them refreshing to see.

It’s enjoyable, fun and challenging

Hungry Hours App

If you love cooking simulation games this one is a promising choice. You will not only tap to cook a certain recipe, but you will prepare every customer order from scratch like preparing a burger from the buns to the patties based on the specific requirements of the customer. It’s fun because you get to experience all steps of serving the customers like the real thing, which is from getting their orders to preparing and serving them. It’s also challenging because you need to finish the order fast as the happiness level of the customers goes down as they wait longer. There are also more ingredients and recipes to consider as you unlock more items.

There are different customers, ingredients and equipment

You serve one customer at a time, which is still challenging because they have their specific orders and they vary per customer. The customers also have different looks and characteristics, making it fun to meet them. As you progress in the game, you get to unlock more ingredients and equipment, which keep it interesting. The difficulty also progresses fairly since you get to familiar yourself with the basics then gradually offering more ingredients and items on the menu.

It’s free but the advertisements are excessive

It’s free to download and play the game. However, the advertisements are too much because aside from the banner ads at the bottom of the game that are always there, there is also an advertisement after every customer. Serving one customer doesn’t really take too much time, which is why seeing those advertisements feel excessive. There is an option to pay to remove ads, but some players reported that they continue to get ads even if they have paid to remove them, which is a concern.

The ups

It’s free and it has adorable graphics with relaxing sounds. It’s a fun game to play that’s also challenging. It gives you the complete experience of serving customers and there are various ingredients and equipment to unlock. You can also decorate the shop.

The downs

There are excessive advertisements that play after serving a customer aside from the banner advertisements at the bottom that are constantly there. Paying to remove advertisements doesn’t guarantee that you will never get them.

The verdict

We recommend Hungry Hours for those looking for a cooking simulation that gives them the total experience from start to finish. It’s free and you can have fun and experience running the shop and perform everything from taking the orders to serving the completed meals to the customers. You can decorate the shop to your liking and you will love the clean graphics and relaxing vibe. It has a steady progression that has the right amount of challenge to keep you interested.
