Ahoy there me hearties! This old salt is here again for another app review. Ye know me lads and lasses how this pirate loves sailing; but do ye know what’s me favorite part of the ship? It’s the crow’s nest and me parrot friend tag along each time I go there to look out for enemies. Aside from that, another good thing about being there is the nice view, especially when the crew makes a stop in an island. Yo, ho, ho! It’s the best thing ever! This bucko learned about this app called Roundme, which I used to take an image of the beautiful island that we went to. Get to know more about it in this review.
It Brings You to Different Places
Roundme gives you a 360 panoramic view of the captured place. Various images of locations around the world are posted by users for everyone to see. What makes it different than the usual still images is that you can see the different areas of the place as you move to various directions. This is the closest thing that you’ll have to being there. You’ll see how the place looks like from the user’s perspective. You would know what exactly to expect in case you decide to visit that place.
Lets You Share Your Experience
You may also upload your own images for others to see. It has a user friendly interface so you would be able to figure out how to use it in just a short period. This is great for people who are into photography and travel. Photographers could use it for their portfolio, while travelers would find it helpful for documenting their trips.
It’s Social
The number of people using this application is continuously growing, but it’s easy to be updated with the latest posts of your favorite users by following them. You can even like the panoramic image that they shared. This is a great way to connect with people who might share the same interest as you or whose work you love.
The Good
There are several great things to like about the Roundme app. One is that it works as designed. It aims to give you a 360 degree panoramic view of a place and it does that. Its map feature lets you easily check out interesting places in different countries around the world and it would make you feel like you’re really there. The social feature is also cool as it lets you connect with other users and share posts with each other.
The Bad
This app works just really fine, which is why it’s difficult to pinpoint something negative about it. Perhaps a minor drawback is that it’s only available for iOS devices as of this writing. However, it would also be available for Android users very soon, so it would no longer be an issue once that happens.
The Verdict
Roundme obviously has several benefits and a very minor drawback. If you love sharing images or you love checking out panoramic views of various places and feel like you’ve really been there, it’s a no-brainer that you should get this app.
