Yo ho ho fellow buccaneers! I’m back from yet another swashbucklin’ adventure, and here to share with you my latest app finds. The app that we will review for today is called Song Chord Finder by ETScreen Team. Left-eye Morrison and Big Jim have been using this app since they found out about it because not a lot of people know it, but these old salts aren’t just experienced in booty hunting, but they’re also great in playing the guitar. However, it has been a while since they played so they were really excited to try the new chords they learned from this app. Avast ye me hearties as we learn more about it in this review.
It’s Intuitive
Song Chord Finder has a straightforward user interface. There are no complicated options or menus that are not needed anyway. It delivers what it was designed for, which is to show you the chords, as well as the lyrics of the song. It’s intuitive, which means that you would instantly know how to use it. You don’t need a manual or instructions as it’s easy to figure out. It has the search icon on top where you can enter the title of the song that you would like to find and a star icon where the songs you favorite are listed. You need to be connected to 3G or WiFi in order to search for songs, although the ones on your favorite list are available offline.
Huge Selection of Songs
This app has a big database containing a huge number of songs. You can find songs from various genres, artists and year released. Whether you’re into old songs or you would like to learn the latest ones, there’s a big chance that you could find the chords that you need here.
It’s Convenient
Song Chord Finder is convenient to use. Aside from being intuitive, it also has features that make it easy for you to practice playing the chords. One of these features is auto scroll that would automatically scroll down the lyrics and chords so you don’t have to do it manually. This is helpful when playing the guitar as you can just continue strumming without having to scroll down on the song.
The Good
A good thing about this app is that it has a wide selection of songs so you are probably going to find the ones that you like. Its black background works because it makes it easier for you to focus and read the chords, as well as the lyrics. It’s also intuitive so it can be used easily by anyone who would like to learn chords for playing the guitar.
The Bad
The app comes with an advertisement, although this is something that most free apps have. You have the option to make an in-app purchase to remove the ads. It’s also currently available to Android users only. It doesn’t have a native app for iOS that you can download for the App Store. It may also not interest everyone as those who are inclined to playing guitar are the ones who are likely to use it.
The Verdict
If you’re into playing the guitar and you would like to learn the chords of the songs, Song Chord Finder is a great app to download. It’s free and it’s also simple to use making it a good find to all guitar players and those who are starting to learn how to play it.
