Ahoy there, hearties! It is I, your ever-so-dependable App Pirate, back once again to give you the latest on all things apps. Today I will be talking about an app that looks simple and easy, but it’s something that you would still enjoy and find challenging at the same time. The app is called Twist by Ketchapp and it’s available for both iOS and Android devices. So batten down the hatches and listen up me lads and lasses as we start with the review.
It Has a Basic Look
Twist has a very basic look. It just has a white background and all you can see would be the square platforms where you would jump the ball to prevent it from falling. These platforms have light colors and you will start with light blue. They change as you reach certain levels in the game. There are also pink colored gems, although they look more of like pink balls, that you can collect as you progress in the app.
Easy to Learn
The app is not complicated so it wouldn’t be difficult to learn the basic gameplay. Whether you’re a pro or a beginner in playing mobile app, it wouldn’t matter as anyone could play it. You just have to tap on the next platform where the ball would land. It gets challenging though as it gets faster, making it more difficult to tap accurately on the next platform. This is an endless tapper so the game would end when the ball falls of the platform.
Can Be Addictive
It’s like an endless runner, but instead of running, you will be tapping on the platforms to stay as long as you can in the game. While the game play can easily get old since there’s really nothing new to do but to keep doing the same thing, it can still be addictive because once it’s done, you’ll feel the urge to do better or get a higher score. Although it’s a simple game, you wouldn’t notice that you are already hooked.
The Good
Twist comes for free so you can get it without spending anything. In case you played it and realized you don’t like it, there’s really nothing to lose as you didn’t spend any money anyways. It’s easy to learn, yet still challenging and fun, which would keep you occupied, especially when you feel bored.
The Bad
It can get repetitive since you will be doing the same thing over and over until the game ends. The only changes that you will see when it comes to graphics are the color of the platforms. There are also advertisements in the app. They can be removed though through an in-app purchase.
The Verdict
Twist doesn’t really offer anything new since there are similar games like it. However, this doesn’t mean that it’s not worth checking out. If you like endless tappers and you’re looking for a free app that would keep you occupied during down time, you should give it a try.

Nicely written review here! I actually really enjoyed going through it. However, I find it pretty hard to understand the gameplay by simply looking at the pictures posted. If it’s something that is repetitive, you can be sure that it will not get too far! Would it be possible to update the post with a trailer?!
Nicely reviewed app! I wonder if I would have ever heard about it if it wasn’t posted out here. I am not impressed by the graphics and I really hope that the gameplay has something that is worth spending time on. I also believe that Smashy Road could have been slightly more original. Do post a trailer if possible!
