Ahoy there me hearties! Your favorite app pirate is back for another app review. In a couple of hours, me and my crew are heading for another booty hunting adventure. But before we do that, this old salt wouldn’t leave without sharing with ye another app that ye lads and lasses may like. The app that we’ll talk about for today is called Charades! I bet ye buckos have an idea what this is about. Aye! You got it right. So batten down the hatches as we start with the review.

You may have heard of the game charades before. It’s a classic game that has been around for a long time. Your parents may have played it when they were young, you played it when you were young and the young ones in the family know it too. Well, it’s not just for youngsters, but it’s a game that can be played by all ages. The idea of the game is the same. However, instead of drawing a piece of paper that contains the word that you will act, you will be using your device that contains the app. The teammates would still be acting the word and let the person guess it.

Gameplay is Simple and It Offers Loads of Fun

Since it’s a classic game, majority of people must be familiar with it. However, even if a participant hasn’t played it before, it wouldn’t be difficult to learn how to play it because the gameplay is pretty simple. This is perfect for all types of parties and it would surely be fun for everyone. The person will hold the device on top of his head and his teammates or a teammate would act or describe the word for him to guess. Tilting the device up would mean passing on the word and tilting down means it’s correct.

Coins are used when selecting new categories so when you run out, you may decide to buy more with an in-app purchase.

Since this game is free to download, it’s understandable that there are banner ads when playing the game. What’s not so good is that video ads play the moment that you open the app and when you’re about to choose another category, which can be annoying. Other than that, it’s a fun game to play.

Charades! is an entertaining app that everyone would enjoy. If you don’t mind the ads, it would a great app to add on your device. If you don’t like viewing the ads, there’s an option to make an in-app purchase to remove them.
