Ahoy there me lads and lasses! Here’s your favorite app pirate again ready to give you another dose of app review fresh from the seven seas. Aside from booty hunting and me parrot pet, one thing that I’m fascinated of is anything that has to do with zombies. Aye, I’ve watched a lot of zombie movies and even dressed as one at a Halloween party with me crew. I’ve also completed Plants Vs. Zombies! Har, har, har. ‘Tis why I got interested with the game called Zombie Smasher and tried to play it. Avast ye me hearties and let’s start with the review of this app.
It’s Not Your Regular Smashing Game
There are several smasher games to choose from today. However, the games just usually involve smashing particular characters with the goal of getting the highest possible score. While you would be smashing various characters in Zombie Smasher too and you would want to get a high score, there’s more to it than what the other games under the same genre offer. One of the differences is that it comes with three modes, including the story mode, time mode and survival mode. The different levels in the story mode can only be unlocked once the previous level had been completed and you could get a maximum of three stars on each depending on how you played. The power ups can also be used when you want to, instead of getting them along the game and being immediately activated.
Brilliant Graphics and Audio
The game has fantastic graphics. It has different backgrounds, as well as zombie characters. Although this is a zombie smashing game, it’s not graphically violent and zombies are not gross. In fact, they look adorable! The background music has some kind of a rock feel so it would make you feel more excited to play the game. You’ll also hear particular sounds when the zombies are approaching and when they are smashed.
It’s Rich in Content
The story mode currently has 60 levels and according from the app download site, more would be added in the future. Aside from these levels, there are also achievements that you could achieve along the way. Instead of the same zombies that you would smash from the first levels, there are different types of zombies that you’ll encounter, including the ghost, timberman and dog zombies. It’s also challenging when the game gets faster and there are people that you need avoid that are being attacked by the zombies. If you get distracted, you might end up killing the people too.

It’s fun and addictive. There are different modes to try and levels to unlock. Achievements are available and the zombies also differ from each other.

The only drawback about Zombie Smasher is that the controls are not accurate at times. There are times that you would need to tap on a zombie twice before it gets killed, which could cost you the game.
The Verdict
Aside from the occasional unresponsiveness of the controls, this is generally an enjoyable game to play. It’s perfect for that long commute or while waiting for your doctor’s appointment. It’s recommended that you try Zombie Smasher on your device.
