In between sailing and booty hunting, one of me favorite thing to do is work on me brains by playing word and puzzle games. Let me share with ye one of the apps that I play. ‘Tis called Word Jungle by Megasoft78. Let’s start the review ‘afore the crew leave me!
Clean Graphics
The graphics of the game is basic but clean. Most of the background is brown in color with some green leaves, which will remind you of the jungle. On top of the game window you will see the level and the coins earned. There are 200 coins free when you start the game. In the middle part, there’s the option to shuffle the letters, and the tip option that will cost you 25 coins. At the bottom, there’s an ask a friend option and an indicator that shows you how many hidden words that you found.
Easy Gameplay
It’s not difficult to learn how to play this game. There are specific words that you need to find and you need to connect the letters in the game window to create words. You will move to the next level when you find all words that correspond to the boxes on top.
Limited Words
One of the drawbacks of the game is that it only has limited words. Many of the words that can be found in the dictionary are not present in app. According to the app page, the developers are working on adding more words in the game. As of this writing, expect that there words that you might find that may not be included in the words that need to be found or the hidden words.
Difficult to Earn Coins
As mentioned, there are 200 coins that are given by default when you start playing the game. However, earning more coins from there on is difficult. Other word games like this usually give you coins upon completing the level. But with this app, there are only specific levels where you can earn coins. There are in-app purchases that would let you buy coins using real money.
Thumbs Up
Word Jungle is free to play and it’s easy to learn. It will help you train your brains and improve your vocabulary. The graphics is also clean.
Thumbs Down
Many words that can be found in the dictionary are not included in the app. It is also difficult to earn coins.
The Verdict
If you are into word games, this is not a bad app to try. It still requires improvement like the addition of more words, but it is still something that you can pass your time with. Learning how to play is also simple.
