Ahoy there me lads and lasses! Every now and then when we need to stock up on the things we need in the ship, we stop by land and sell some of our booties. We get what we need for a long sail on the sea. Sometimes, we buckos get so excited that we go over budget. Har, har, har! There’s so much that we want to try, especially foods. Aye, ye know how these buckos love eating and cooking. If ye hearties don’t want to overspend like us, and want to keep yer budget on track, I have just the right app for ye, and it’s the one that we will have for our review. It’s called Monefy by Aimbity AS. Batten down the hatches and let’s start.
It’s intuitive and it lets you track budget
The app is user-friendly, so a little exploration will make you familiar of its features and use right away. The options are straightforward so it will be easy to determine what they are for. For example, adding something on the expenses only requires tapping on the plus button or tapping on a category and entering the amount. There’s also an option to add notes. You can have a preview of your balance and expenses, and also a detailed view.
It has simple user interface
Its simple user interface is cool in the eyes. It is clean and organized making it easy to focus on the data. The background is white, with green highlights on menu. There are icons for the expenses categories that make it easier to quickly tell what they are for even without reading the label.
It’s secured
There are three security options to ensure that only you have access to the app on your mobile device, including passcode, touch ID, and face ID. You can choose which one you prefer, or which best suits you.
It offers convenience
There are several ways on how to send or share a budget. It also allows backup and synchronization. It lets you access it on other devices, or you can share the use with other people. For example, if you want to share it with your spouse, you may synchronize it on your device using Google Drive or Dropbox, then they can login with your credentials on their app. The downside is that, they will know your credentials.
Refunds do not show on balance
If you added something in the expenses, and remove them like for instance you made a refund for a purchase you made, it will be deleted but it will not reflect on the balance. It should be able to not just deduct the expenses from the balance but automatically make adjustments for the refunds.
The good
Monefy is lets you easily track your budget. It’s easy to use, and secured. It also lets you access it in multiple devices or share with other users.
The bad
You need to synchronize it with your Google Drive or Dropbox account, and if you want to share it with other users, you need to give them your credentials. The balance also doesn’t reflect the refunds you made.
The verdict
Monefy has some room for improvements like reflecting refunds made, but overall, it’s an easy to use and straightforward app that lets you track your budget, like it is designed.
