Ahoy there me lads and lasses! The buckos and I enjoyed a two day vacation with some landlubber friends. It’s nice to catch up every now and then. So whenever time permits us, and we’re around their place, we see to it that we connect with them. We only had two days, but we made the most out of it as we tried various activities. The one I enjoyed the most was archery. I used to play this when I was a little lad, and it’s been a while since I last tried it, but it didn’t take time and I got used to it again. We had a competitive friendly game, and guess what, this bucko won! Har, har, har! For our app review today, I will share with you something that also has to do with arrows, although this is not about archery. Let me tell you more about Arrows – Puzzle Escape by Lessmore UG.
It has simple and minimalist artwork

The artwork is simple. Nothing extravagant or fancy, but instead it’s on the minimalist side. However, this works for the game because its simplicity makes it more relaxing. It lets you focus more on the game as you are not distracted with other unnecessary objects. The arrows are placed on a white background, so you can see them clearly.
It’s free with acceptable advertisements

It’s a game you can download for free, and although it has in-app purchases, it doesn’t feel that you are forced to get them. There are advertisements, but considering it’s free and the ads are not too long, that’s still acceptable. However, there are times that the ads don’t play, which stops you from moving to the next level, so you end up having to close the app to continue playing. There’s an option to remove ads, but it’s costly as it’s around $10 as of this writing.
It has thousands of levels with no time pressure
There are thousands of levels that await you, and there are also daily challenges, so you will not easily run out of levels to play. It’s also available offline, making it perfect for a quick break time or if you want to relax and pass time. It doesn’t come with a timer, so you can focus on clearing the levels without thinking of time. If you are after a less stressful game, then this one is a green flag. However, if you want more difficulty by being under time pressure, unfortunately, you will not get it from this as it doesn’t have that option.
It’s gets more challenging but not frustrating
There is a tutorial in the beginning on how to play the game. Although it’s straightforward, even without a tutorial, you’ll learn how to play without trouble. The first few levels are easy to complete. It then gets more challenging as you reach higher levels as there are more arrows to free with more complex formations. But they are still doable, although they require more focus and time. You will not feel frustrated as they are not impossible to complete.
Thumbs up
It has minimalist artwork that’s relaxing to the eyes. It’s free and you can play it offline. There are thousands of levels that increase in difficulty, but are not frustrating. The number of advertisements are acceptable.
Thumbs down
The advertisements sometimes get stuck, forcing you to close the app to keep playing. Removing the ads is also expensive.
The verdict
We recommend Arrows – Puzzle Escape to those looking for a relaxing yet challenging logic puzzle game that you can play for free. Its minimalist artwork is refreshing and it lets you focus on the game. It has straightforward controls and there are thousands of levels to play. There’s no time pressure, so you can play at your own pace.
