Dig This

Ahoy there me hearties! Here’s yer favorite app pirate ready to go on another booty hunting adventure around the seven seas. Our next destination is an exciting one because based on the map we found, there are a lot of traps that we need to go pass before we get to the treasure. It may sound dangerous, but this old salt is all for that! Plus, ye know lads and lasses how great I am when it comes to solving things. Har, har, har! Me just finished this game called Dig This from Raketspel that tested me puzzle solving skills and of course, this buccaneer won! Let me tell ye more about this app in this review.

Simple but clean graphics

Dig This Review

The game is in 3D and although the graphics are simple, they are clean and the game window doesn’t look to busy. The main goal is to find a way for the green balls to get into the cups. Aside from the balls and cups, there are minimal objects that you will see like sticks and rock-looking things that are not just there for design, but you can use to hit your goal.

Right mix of difficulty levels

Dig This App

There are some levels that are easy, especially the first few ones. They will let you familiarize yourself with the game, which is quick to understand. There are also other levels that are more challenging to complete, so might find yourself having to repeat it multiple times. The good thing is that they are not impossible to solve, so you will not end up frustrated. Moreover, there are also hints and an option to skip a level, which is something that is usually not present on other similar games.

Free but has several ads

The game is free to download and you can also play all hundreds of levels without spending anything. While it is understandable for most free games to have advertisements, the ads on Dig This can be annoying. You can easily accidentally tap them while playing causing you to be sent to another page and lose your focus from the game. Other than that, there are no other disadvantages that we see so far in this app.

The ups

Dig This is free to download and play. It has the right level of difficulty that makes it challenging but not frustrating. It has simple but clean graphics that will let you focus on the game as only the essentials are there.  It uses real physics so you will be encouraged to think of a way to complete each level and not just leave it to luck or chance.

The downs

The only drawback that we see is that it has advertisements that you can accidentally click and be redirected to another page. It can affect the game experience as you will lose your focus and momentum.

The verdict

While it has annoying advertisements, considering it’s free, Dig This is still a recommended app that you should try, especially if you are into physics type puzzle games.
