Ahoy there me lads and lasses! Here’s yer app pirate back for another app review that I wanna share with ye all buckos. I was away from me parrot friend for a while. Good thing I found this app called Flappy Bird as playing it made me feel like I was with me pet.
Aye, me really miss that parrot so much. But we’re together now and it also enjoys seeing me play the game. Har, har, har! Here’s a Flappy Bird review that ye buccaneers can read to learn more about the game.
Survive As Long As You Can
This is one of the endless running or should we say endless flying game in which you need to survive as long as you can. The goal is to get the highest possible score in one run. You will be controlling a little bird by tapping on the screen to make its wings flap and fly. It will start to fall when not tapping on the screen.
There are series of pipes that you need to avoid as hitting on them would immediately end the game. Your score, the medal you earned and your best score will then be posted on the screen. You can keep trying to beat your own score as long as you want.
It’s Super Mario and Tiny Wings Combined
If you’re familiar with the old arcade game Super Mario, you will be able to relate this app to that game when you start playing because of the familiar background. The green tunnels look exactly like the ones that Mario jumps in on Super Mario. It’s also somewhat like Tiny Wings as you are controlling a bird by tapping the screen to make it fly just like the said game.
Basic Interface and Sound
The interface is pretty basic. Its graphics is like those of the old arcade games. All you would really see on the background is the blue sky, trees, buildings and the pipes. And of course, you have that little bird with big eyes, red lips, yellow body and tiny wings. There’s nothing really striking with the graphics.
There’s no background music but you would hear its wings flap, as well as hear something when it hits the pipes. A fun music in the background could make it livelier. Or perhaps there should be an option to turn music on or off in case the player prefers playing without background music so he can concentrate more.
Simple But Challenging
This game sounds pretty basic. But when you start playing it, you would realize that it’s not as easy as it seems. It’s actually extremely challenging. It’s difficult to pass through the pipes without hitting them, though you’ll get better with practice. You may get frustrated for being knocked down but you would also feel more determined to get a higher score.
The Verdict
Flappy Bird is a free game that is a must have on your device. The game play is simple but hard to master. It’s very addicting that you would find yourself playing it for hours and more.
