I was so happy with the fine and even me crew wanted to have it ‘cause it has lots of the things that me and ye lads and lasses like; apps! I have tried all of the apps and one of them would be the one that I will share with ye in this review. So avast ye me hearties as this old salt start the review.
It Has a Basic User Interface
The interface of this app is very basic. It’s very direct and gives you the map view of where your friends are, just like you are looking at Google Maps. There’s also the location view that lists the name of the location where your friends or family members are exactly at the moment. Aside from their locations, it’s also nice that it shows their battery life so you could determine if they have enough battery left in case you need to contact them.
It’s Free But It Comes with Ads
If you want to track your loved ones but would not want to spend anything for the app, this is a good option for you. However, as you would expect in most free apps, it comes with advertisements, which can sometimes be annoying. But if you can live with that, then this one would do, especially the tracking is accurate.
It Has More Features But Request Must Still Be Sent to the Other Person
In order to track your friends or family members, a search location request must be sent first. The other person would receive the request and respond. If they accepted the request, then you will be able to track them. If not, then it would not work. So if you’re sneaking to find someone through this app, it may not be successful since it requires their permission to be tracked. However, if they allowed tracking, you would enjoy various features, including notifications on those who are near you and real time movement of location as they move.
The Good
One of the most important things in a locator app is that it should be accurate. Friend Locator accurately shows the location of the person and track it as they move real time. It also sends notifications when there are contacts that are near your location. The app comes with a list view and map view, whichever you prefer.
The Bad
This app comes with advertisements. While it’s searching for the location, you may be seeing advertisements on the screen. You also need to request for the location of the other person to be searched. If the request is not granted, then you would not be able to track using the app.
The Verdict
If you just really want to find out where your loved ones are and you believe that they would give you the permission to track their location, then this one is a good find since it’s free and it gives accurate location.
