Ahoy there me hearties! Your friendly pirate is back again for another app review that I hope ye lads will like. I ain’t no any other buccaneer. Those scallywags think that I know nothing but hunt treasure, drink rum and play with me parrot, but that ain’t true! Let me tell ye buckos a secret; I also work part time online when done booty hunting. I use this app called Google Drive, which I would like to share with ye all. All hand hoay and we’ll begin the review!
Storage on the Cloud
Google Drive is an app that lets you create, share and store sheets, documents, slides, images and videos on the cloud. This means that your files are stored in an online storage so you can access them on any device or computer with Google Drive. Aside from convenient access, your device or computer space would not be used for saving the files. This is beneficial for those who work on various files and need to access them anywhere they are. Another great feature that you would love is that it has the option to view files offline. Even if you are not connected to the Internet you’ll still be able to view them.
The Look
The application is very straightforward. There’s really nothing fancy when it comes to the design of its interface, which actually works for it. It doesn’t need it anyway, because it’s good with its basic but clean and organized look. Upon opening the app, you’ll get the list of options, including My Drive, Shared, Starred, Recent and Offline. Going to My Drive would list all of your folders and files. There’s also the menu button on the upper right side that you can tap for more options. If you have used the web version of Google Drive, you wouldn’t have problems using this one as it has that same look and feel. It’s unified so it’s the same wherever you access it. While you can view the documents and sheets without a problem, it may be a bit difficult to make some changes on the sheets if working on a smaller screen.
Ease of Use
The app is very easy to use. As mentioned, if you have used Google Drive online then it’s so much the same as this one, only that it’s installed on your mobile device. It responds properly on taps. Tapping the options would immediately show their content. Even if this is your first time using the application, you wouldn’t have difficulties getting familiar with its use. It’s user friendly and it responds quickly with your commands.
The Verdict
Google Drive is a very useful app for those who constantly work with various files and want to find a way on how to access them while on the go. It’s free, lightweight and easy to use. The only issue is that it could be difficult to work on your sheets since you’re working on a small screen. Other than that, this is a good find.
