Yo, ho, ho, and a bottle of rum! Ahoy there me lads and lasses! The crew and I found art materials from our recent dive down Davey Jones’ locker. This sparked my interest in art, which I had since I was a kid. I used to have many art materials, from sketchbooks to coloring books. This old salt even competed in art competitions at school and won! Har, har, har! The buckos also enjoyed drawing and coloring, and unleashed the artist in them. I also have art apps on my device that I often use, especially when I want to relax as art is like therapy to me. If you hearties are also interested in art, keep on reading as I will share with you the app called Happy Color: Color by Number by X-Flow.
There are thousands of images available

As of this writing, there are over 40,000 images available for you to paint and the themes are wide range, so if you’re looking for variety, that wouldn’t be a problem. This also makes it ideal for all users as there are contents for kids and adults too. Some of these themes are Disney stories, animals and the environment. More pictures are also being added each day. It used to be hand drawn images only from various artists. But recently, there are AI generated content, which disappoints some users as they prefer the hand drawn images. But still, there are thousands of hand drawn contents if you also favor this over AI generated pictures.
It’s relaxing and you can zoom in and out

It’s relaxing and it frees your mind from other things as it lets you focus on coloring the different parts of the image until you complete it. It’s also satisfying to see the picture start from just outlines to a colorful and eye-catching image. You can also zoom in and out, making it easier to explore the picture and find the remaining pieces that you need to color, especially the smaller ones.
It’s free and you can use it offline
You can download this game for free, and once you open an image and start coloring it, you can continue even when you are no longer connected to the internet. This is convenient as you can keep coloring anytime, anywhere. There are in-app purchases, but they are optional. You can keep playing without spending real money if that’s what you prefer.
The advertisements are too much and it lacks customization
There are plenty of intrusive advertisements that prevent you from coloring continuously. It’s even hard to exit from the ads, making it frustrating as you lose your focus in the game. You can’t really pick the colors that you want for the pictures as it requires you to follow the patterns specifically. There are corresponding numbers for each piece, so you can veer away from that. However, the title says color by number anyway, so it just works as designed. But if you are looking for the freedom to choose the colors, then this might not be for you.
The good
It’s free and relaxing. You can keep playing offline once you start on a content. There are thousands of images with various themes and more are being added daily. You can zoom in and out, making it more convenient to find the pieces.
The bad
It has too many advertisements that are hard to exit. You also can’t choose your own colors.
The verdict
We recommend Happy Color: Color by Number to those who are into art. This is a straightforward yet relaxing coloring game by number that has thousands of images available. They also vary in theme, so there’s always something new to look forward to. It’s free to download and you can keep playing even offline once you start coloring a content.
