Yo, ho, ho, and a bottle of rum! Cheers to yer favorite app pirate bringing home loads of booties and taking down barrels of rum! Har, har, har! Don’t worry me lads and lasses, those barrels of rums didn’t get me drunk. This bucko is still sober, so I won’t still miss this chance of giving ye another dose of yer most awaited app review. Are ye ready? Avast ye as I tell ye more about this app called Infinite Stairs by NFLY STUDIO.
Retro Graphics
I’ve noticed some developers are going back to the basics. While many are going for 3D graphics, there are also those who choose to do the graphics of their games with the classic pixel graphics popular years back. Infinite Stairs is one of these games and the strategy worked. Although it used an old style of drawing the characters and the background, that made it look adorable. It gives that nostalgic feel of old school arcade games that you used to love as a kid. This app also has different adorable characters to choose from. Plus, there are also pets to unlock and bring with you in the game. It’s fun how the pet runs the stairs together with the main character.
Simple But Addicting
It has the same idea of the typical endless runner games where you need to stay as long as you can in the game to achieve the highest possible score. Turn left and right, while running up the stairs and collecting coins. One wrong move and the game ends though. The concept is easy to understand but putting it to work can be challenging as there are several sharp turns that you need to take. You need to be focused and agile to prevent from falling from the stairs and ending the game.
Smooth Controls
There are only two buttons to tap. The left one will make you turn left and right, while the other one will make you continue going up the stairs. There is no problem with the controls as they work as designed. The only problem is really if you get nervous or confuse and tapped the buttons incorrectly.
Play Against Other Players
What’s even better about this app is that you also have the option to play with other players from around the world. This makes the game more competitive and exciting as you would want to beat not just your own score, but that of the other player. Your character and the other player’s character will be on the same game window, and both of you will run the stairs. The game ends when one player falls from the stairs.
The Good
Infinite Stairs has adorable graphics that is also nostalgic. The basic gameplay is simple to understand, and the controls work as design. There are several characters and pets to choose from. You can also play against other players.
The Bad
There is really no twist that makes it different from other endless runners.
The Verdict
Infinite Stairs may not have something fresh to offer, but if you love endless runners, this is a good addition to your list. It has fantastic graphics, good controls, and you can also play against other players.
