Yo, ho, ho, and a bottle of rum! Ahoy there me lads and lasses! It’s me again yer friendly app pirate ready to explore the seven seas for another booty hunting adventure. We just got back from a dive down Davey Jones’s locker and as expected, there were plenty of amazing finds, including these unique cooking appliances that we immediately tried as we got back on the ship. The crew and I didn’t waste any time and started cooking, which is something we love to do. Aye, we enjoy doing it as much as we enjoy treasure hunting. We ended up having a feast and we’re all full and satisfied. If you are also into cooking, check out our review for today for the app called Royal Cooking by Matryoshka.

It has outstanding artwork

Royal Cooking - Cooking Games Review

The game has impressive artwork as the images are detailed and vibrant. You have the first person point of view, so you will see the ingredients and cooking appliances properly. You start with cooking and serving plain burgers and drinks, and offer more as you progress. The background changes and so does the theme. There are also different types of customers, although they also tend to repeat.

It’s fun and there are various items and themes to unlock

Royal Cooking - Cooking Games App

If you are into cooking and time-management games, this is one of those. It has the same gameplay where you serve the customers based on their orders. It’s fun, especially on the first few levels where the upgrades are not too expensive. There are also different items and themes to unlock as you reach higher levels. However, it gets harder to upgrade and move up levels. The upgrades and boosters get costlier, so you are either forced to make an in-app purchase or watch several video advertisements to earn money and keep playing. The coins you earn from a level seem not enough to afford the said upgrades.

It’s free but the ads are excessive and long

This is a free game to download. The ads are seldom at first, but you get more of them as you level up. Plus, they are several seconds long and you can’t close them, so you are forced to watch. You will also get constant advertisement to purchase the game ad-free. This can get irritating in the long run because you spend a lot of time watching ads.

The good

Royal Cooking has the same familiar gameplay as other cooking and time management games you know. It’s free and you can unlock various recipes and themes along the way. It has exemplary artwork that adds fun and life to the game.

The bad

The upgrades get more expensive in the higher levels making it difficult to progress without spending real money or watching ads for prizes.

The verdict

Royal Cooking is recommended for those looking for another option for cooking and time management games. Expect advertisements, which is normal in most free to play games. But if you can live with the ads, you will enjoy the different recipes and backgrounds as you unlock more themes.
