Ahoy there me lads and lasses! Your friendly app pirate is here again ready to explore the seven seas for more exciting finds. Whenever we go on a treasure hunt, we often go through many hoops to find what we are looking for. It’s always challenging but it’s worth it. Thankfully, we got used to it, and even the games we play have a part in developing the skills we need to find those booties. Take for example the puzzle games that sharpens our critical thinking, and attention to detail. I’ll share one of those games in this review. So, batten down the hatches and let’s talk about the app called Twisted Tangle by Rollic Games.

It starts easy and becomes more challenging

Twisted Tangle Review

This is a fun game for those who are into puzzle games and would like to exercise their brains while playing. It starts easy with only a couple of tangled ropes you need to untangle. However, it gets more complex as the level goes up as there are more ropes to untangle and the way they are tangled is more complicated. Moreover, there are timed levels that make it more difficult. Some players may find the timer a positive addition to the game, but if you want to relax and you prefer to play it without time pressure, the timer is a red flag.

It has a simple and clean interface

The background of the main game window is beige and at the center are the tangled ropes you need to untangle. They have different colors so you can easily determine one from the other and see where they go. On the upper part of the window are the levels, coins, timer and other options. It’s not something flashy, and the simplicity works for the game as you can focus on the ropes.

It’s free but the ads are excessive

You can download and play the game for free, but there are ads after every level that play for about 30 seconds long. Since the levels are short, it feels like you spend longer time waiting for ads than playing the actual game, which is excessive. There’s an option to remove ads but it costs $8 as of this writing. So, it’s your choice if you want to spend that amount to play ad-free, or just be patient with the ads if you don’t want to spend real money.

The good

The game is free to download and it has a simple and clean interface that is perfect for the game. It’s fun and challenging, and the difficulty level gradually increases as you progress in the game.

The bad

The ads are too much as there’s one after every level that lasts for about 30 seconds. The timer can also make the game stressful to some because of the time pressure.

The verdict

We recommend Twisted Tangle to those who are into puzzle games and looking to sharpen their brains. It’s free although there’s an option to pay to make it ad-free. It’s simple interface makes you focus on the ropes you need to untangle. It’s challenging and fun at the same time.
