LowRX Review

On January 16, 2013

Well hallo thar me buckaroo! I be so excited to tell ye about this new app I just got today. As ye know, drinking rum every day and sinkin’ caravel after caravel can take a toll on me body. I often get anxiety attacks and me blood pressure shoots through the sails whenever I eat em’ roast pigs. Thank Calypso that I got me prescription meds to keep me alive. And this new app, LowRX, is going to help keep me alive even more. Here is how.

What is LowRX?

LowRX is a one of a kind medical mobile app that will surely attract everyone that requires the regular intake of prescription medicines. Why? Because with LowRX, anyone that needs to buy meds can save a lot of money with it. And when I say a lot of money, I mean up to about 75% in savings. Aye, you read that right. LowRX is that kind of app.

LowRX Review

How Does it Work?

It is really simple. LowRX is connected to the databases of a lot of pharmacies and drugstores. Through that linkage, LowRX is given data on the availability and discounted price of the medicines in those databases. And the data is updated real time, which is kind of practical since drug costs can change significantly in a blink of an eye.

What Else Does it Do?

Aside from providing you the most invaluable data relevant to your drug and medicinal needs, LowRX comes with 2 very practical functions: the Drug Estimator and the Pharmacy Locator.

The Drug Estimator is nothing more than a calculator which you can use for getting a real time, accurate estimate on the total costs of all your prescription drugs. This function will actually help you keep your budget at a budget, if you know what I mean.

As for the Pharmacy Locator, its name should tell you exactly what it does – it tells you where the nearest pharmacies are based on the GPS of your phone. Cool, right? So, if you are looking for the nearest RiteAid or Walmart, LowRX has got you covered.

LowRX App

Where do I sign up?

Nowhere. There really is no need to sign up. For as long as you have got an iOS device, an Apple Passbook, and you have downloaded the free LowRX Pass you are good to go. Just run the app, tap the membership card (which will show the pass you downloaded), and show it to the pharmacist to get your discounted prescriptions.

For those wondering whether LowRX supports the iPhone 5, the answer is a big YES. It supports the latest iPhone and latest iOS. It also supports the old iOS 5, which is perfect for people who have not upgraded yet.

Verdict

LowRX is free, extremely helpful, and is light on your device. So, getting it, regardless if you are a perennial prescription drug user or just your average drug junkie when you feel ill kind of person, is a real no brainer. What do you think?

Agree with Irshishman_7. WORTHLESS app. Who in their right mind would roll out an app like this and exclude android…..

  5. Janie says:

I have 27 different types of medicine. Would like it if you would help design this app for the ones who have androids. We need help too with our meds. You have had several to say it is worthless so do something about it.
