Ping Pong Review

On December 12, 2013

Ahoy me scallywag friends. Yer app pirate is back with another review of one of the latest applications that I have tried. When I was still a little lad, I remember enjoying school so much. Aye, this bucko was studious back then. Well, that’s ‘afore sailing and treasure hunting captured me heart. I got to try this app called Ping Pong – Smart Clickers with me crew and we had fun using it. This Ping Pong review will tell ye lads more about it.

It’s Interactive

Ping Pong – Smart Clickers is a unique application that is designed for educational purposes. Teachers and students may use it in a classroom setting but it is not limited to that as this can also be a fun way for friends to make group study fun or for parents to make reviews more enjoyable for their kids.

PingPong Review

It works with the teacher logging in to the app and creating a room where the students can join. The room code will be given to the students so they can log in and connect to the app. Questions will be shared from the teacher’s device to the participants’ phones. This app works on iOS and Android devices. The students would then answer the questions provided and the app will collect and analyze the answers real time. With this, the teacher would know instantly if the lesson was understood by the students.

Several Options Available

What’s good about this app is that it has several options for testing the students’ knowledge. This includes multiple choice, true or false, short answer and drawing. It also comes with a feature that would randomly select a student to answer the question, which adds a sense of excitement. Plus, this can help the students focus more on their lessons because they wouldn’t know who would be picked for the test. It’s rich in features that are useful in making the app effective for learning including a timer, blackboard and the ability to connect to Evernote.

Simple and Clean

The user interface is simple yet pleasing to the eye. It’s straightforward and intuitive so it’s easy to navigate and use. The background color is green with white text, which would remind you of a blackboard with text written on it using a white chalk. It’s designed for the classroom setting so the developers nailed the design on this one.

The Good and Bad

One of the good things about this application is that it can effectively make lessons more enjoyable for students. It lets them play and compete with each other, pushing them to give their best. It also has different test options that the teacher can use alternately so it’s not always the same.

PingPong App

While this is a fantastic application, the only drawback is that each of the students should have their own device. While most youngsters nowadays have their own mobile phones, still there may be some who don’t and they might feel left out. Other than that, it’s pretty rock solid.

The Verdict

Aside from the concern that not all students in the class may have a device to use the app, Ping Pong is generally a great application to try. It enhances learning and makes it more enjoyable for everyone.
